Cannabis oil and Diverticulitis

If you suffer from any kind of stomach problems, this article is for you.

As research has increased into cannabis and Cannabinoids a wide variety of health concerns are being successfully treated with them.

One of the health concerns, in particular, that is of interest to me is Diverticulitis. My husband suffers from this. His first attack scared us both.          I came home from work to find him sitting on the side of the bed, holding his stomach, white as a ghost, vomiting uncontrollably. He was hospitalized for two days. He has since had about three more attacks.
We try to control his Diverticulitis with diet and most of the time we do fairly well.

He recently had another attack. This attack also coincided with my research for this blog.

I have been talking for quite a while to my husband about cannabis oil and all the things it’s been found to help. When this new attack began I suggested CBD oil.
He said “Sure, can’t hurt.” Plus he was in so much pain at that point he probably would have tried just about anything to rid himself of it.

The first dose didn’t seem to provide a whole lot of relief so we did a second dose, this one relieved the intensity of the pain so he could sleep. We found the longer he took it the better he felt. I kept him on the oil for a week, even after his symptoms had subsided.

It’s been a couple of weeks and he is still free of symptoms of his Diverticulitis. He now is anxiously waiting for his CBD to come in the mail so he can start taking it daily. He has other health issues as well, so he is in hopes the CBD will help them as well. I have assured him it will!

Now the reason that this worked is simple. In a previous entry I shares how Cannabis oil has been found to be an anti-inflammatory and relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. The same idea applies here as well.

In your colon and intestines you have little sacs called Diverticuli. When food we eat that does get processed well in the stomach, it passes through the colon and into the gut, the undigested food matter can get caught in these sacs.

When that happens the sacs get inflamed and infected so one develops Diverticulitis. When my husband ingested the Cannabis oil, it passed through his colon, absorbing some there into his system and also into his gut where it passed into the infected area. The Cannabis oil activated his Endocannabinoid system which boosted his immunity to fight of the infection. The Cannabis oil also found its way into his blood stream acted as an anti-inflammatory.

So if you suffer from stomach problems, even  something other than Diverticulitis, think about this:

The next time you go to the doctor for your symptoms, he is going to give you two to three man-made prescriptions to take 3-4 times a day.

Do we really trust the true ingredients in those pills; and who says they’ll work anyway?  Can you get your money back if they make you more ill or don’t work? What of the side effects?  Are you willing to take the risk that maybe you’ll be the victim of the worse side effect those pills may have. You will also have to take these medications intermittently for as long as you suffer from your ailment. Eventually the first regiment of pills you started taking quit working or worse. Then your doctor will give you a different regiment to take with a whole new set of side effects.

Cannabis oil is all natural and works within your body with your endocannabinoid system to repair stasis in your body. The hope is to eventually end disease.
